Though technically not fishing shoes, Zekos are made of water-resistant or waterproof components and are suitable for anything from fishing during a summer downpour to lounging around a weigh-in. A strap with hook-and-loop fasteners holds the machine-washable shoe securely to the foot, and a mesh upper provides good ventilation. The generous molded EVA sole is slip-resistant and as comfortable as flip-flops. Perhaps the best thing about the shoes is their weight – less than 6 ounces apiece – which means that, like Martin after the Cup’s final weigh-in, you’ll think you’re walking barefoot on clouds. Various colors and a couple of styles are available.
